Aardvarks vs Tonka Tanks

Post  aardvark on Fri Aug 16, 2013 11:36 am

After 6 weeks without a win - a return to form last weekend to put on 46 against the Gulls was a welcome relief - and kept our 100% record of making the GC finals in every year of our involvement intact, the only franchise with this record. cheers

So can we go further now that we've scraped into the playoffs. The Tanks put on the same score of 46 points last weekend against the minor premiers to lose by the narrow margin of 2 points - so what shapes as a classic match is about to unfold.... We just hope the advice he gets at the sportsman's lunch drunken  is at the end of the day and is somewhat more suited to a game of netball. lol!

The Aardvarks have lost another player for the season - in our loyalty player Trent Merrin which will be a massive loss Sad  - but on the flipside - we welcome back Greg Inglis Very Happy  to the custodian role.... The makeup of the side is looking better than it has for quite a while - so confidence is again high..

Aardvarks for the 2nd Prelim Final are -;

Greg Inglis
Michael Gordon
Jack Wighton
Justin O'Neill
Kevin Gordon
Benji Marshall
Jarrod Mullen
Josh Jackson
Jamie Buhrer
Darcy Lussick
Tim Grant
Mitch Rein
James Tamou
Blake Ayshford
Jordan Kahu
Aiden Guerra
Ray Thompson
Benji Marshall

Tanks v Aardvarks

Post  Frank The Tank on Fri Aug 16, 2013 10:32 am

Tanks coach Frank Riccard will be using his pre match to meet Laurie Daley (Sportsmens Lunch North Ryde Hawks)for some advise for the finals campaign. Hopefully the Tanks will not suffer the same fate as the Blues. Also, naming the side early as he will be in no state to name them later.
