No, once a bid is placed, that player is on the table so to speak. If Pooh-Bah hadn’t mentioned the player was a rep player, and if the final bid placed before the expiration of the original 48 hour bidding period was below 200k, the bid would have failed….but it would NOT and does not impact on the bidding period itself – which commences when the first bid is placed and ends exactly 48 hours after that time (unless it is placed after Wed 2pm and before Thursday 10pm at which time it would be finalised at 2pm Friday)

Pooh-Bah’s post alerting bidders to the fact he was a rep player was intended to assist the bidders…apologies if it got in the way of a sniping attempt Wink

Just a reminder about the ruling....
"Do your homework before making a bid, and you will be fine. If you bid $65,000 for a player who should have a $100K minimum bid, then the bid will just be declined, and you will have to wait. If you bid $65,000, and it is not enough, you will often hear from someone that that is the case, and you can revised your bid on that player (same as if you make a higher bid if you are outbid), but obviously within the timeframes of the trade window."

Timing?

Post  Stumpy on Fri Jul 04, 2014 2:08 am

With the first legitimate bid at 8:01 pm Wednesday, shouldn't negotiations be open until at least 2Pm Friday?

Approved - Stopouts

Post  Pooh-Bah on Thu Jul 03, 2014 8:36 pm

A 200k contract reflecting his International Rep Status  scratch has been approved and registered to the Stopouts

In releasing Kevin Locke - that was his 2nd club that he's been cut from - so he's been Quarantined - not that there'd be any further interest anyway.

Manager's Feedback

Post  Pooh-Bah on Wed Jul 02, 2014 6:19 pm

We have just had communication from the Manager of Drury Low...  He feels that as his client is a current test player (2 tests for the Cook Islands at the 2013 World Cup) - that his client will not be accepting a cent under 200k..... study

Decision time not until Thursday night at 6:21 - so plenty of time to get into a good old bidding war
